Since having kids our house has gotten filled up with A LOT of stuff. Because of that, I naturally have simplify a lot of my stuff around the house to just keep my sanity. I also enjoy decorating and merchandising things and making them look nice. At first I really didn’t set out to use practical decor to decorate, it just sort of happened. I noticed I started stacking kids book on the coffee table and putting pacifier is clear cups to keep them in reach but clean. I am happy with the way it evolved, how it looks and the best part is that it has a purpose! As I was thinking about this post I kept looking around my house and seeing more and more ways I use practical decor without even noticing it.
Here are some examples of some practical decor around the house:
clean and sweet pacifier container that I keep by the sink.
You could also use this as a trail mix bar and fill the canisters with different trail nuts, raisins, and chocolate. It would also work as a yogurt parfait bar with Granola, dried fruit and chocolate chips. I got these kitchen canisters at Target but here are some similarcanistersfrom Amazon that are even cuter!
Bathroom shelf/diy shower spray
This is where I store my DIY Shower spray. I have also been using it around the bathroom for quick clean ups and its been working great! I might need to rename this DIY multi-purpose spray! Here is my post for my DIY shower spray so you can try it out. I also use this shelf in my bathroom for qtips, cotton balls, and face towels.
